An incredible Chi Wara Headress from the Bambara Tribe, Mali. These headresses are worn by the Chi Wara society members. The Headresses display a highly abstract body showing a zig zag body which represents the suns course from East to West and a head with two large horns. The members of the Chi Wara wear the Headress while dancing in the fields at sowing time hoping to increase there crop yield. This is a superb example of a Chi Wara headress showing good signs of age and use.
