A Superb African Mask from the Chokwe Tribe, Angola. This is a typical Male Chokwe Mask showing scarification marks to the cheeks and forehead. These masks are used in Circumcision and initiation ceremonies and to bring Fertility and Prosperity to the Village. This is a superb example of a Chokwe mask.
