A stunning African Statue from the Hemba Tribe, DRC Congo. This is a Hemba ancestor figure called 'Singiti.' The partially closed eyes on the figure indicate the ancestors interior calm and the hands on the belly indicate the ancestor embracing and watching over his descendants... This is a fine example of a Hemba ancestor figure and shows good signs of age and use.
